Citroen C3: Towing / Towing your vehicle

- On the front bumper, unclip the cover by
pressing at its left-hand side.
- Screw the towing eye in fully.
- Install the towbar.
- With a manual gearbox, move the gear lever
into neutral.
- With an automatic gearbox, move the gear
selector into position N.
Failure to observe this
instruction could
result in damage to certain components
(braking, transmission, etc.) and to the
absence of braking assistance the next time
the engine is started.
- Unlock the steering by turning the ignition key
one notch and release the parking brake.
- Switch on the hazard warning lamps on both
vehicles.
- Move off gently, drive slowly and only for a
short distance.
The towing eye is installed in the boot under the
floor.
For access:
Open the boot.
Lift up the floor and remove it.
Remove the towing eye from its housing...
On the rear bumper, unclip the cover by
pressing at the bottom.
Screw the towing eye in fully, until it reaches
a stop.
Install the tow bar.
Switch on the hazard warning lamps on both
vehicles...

Before changing a fuse:
Identify the cause of the fault and fix it.
Stop all power consumption.
Immobilise the vehicle and switch the ignition
off.
Identify the defective fuse using the current
allocation tables and diagrams.
To replace a fuse, it is essential to:
Use the special tweezers to extract the fuse
from its housing and check the condition of its
filament...
The extraction tweezers are fitted to the back of
the dashboard fusebox cover.
Unclip the cover by pulling at the top left, then
right.
Disengage the cover completely and turn it
over.
Remove the tweezers from the back of the
cover.
